The local Sunday paper had an article on flood-related cars. According to the
article, in Minnesota, Carfax suggests that 1 in 800
searches had "flood flags" before Katrina, Rita and Wilma. Now the ratio is 1
in 300. They also suggest that the ratio is based on
data that actually was flagged (obviously) but there were ways to wash a title
so that it will not show up as flood damaged in the
search.
