Well you can always ask the dealer what they use and where they put 
it.  There's at least some chance he won't lie to you.  Maybe ask the 
kid in the back who's actually doing the prep.  Can you localize the 
smell at all?  Is it coming from the vents?  Some cars have a problem 
with moldy smells from the AC system, and there is a cleaning 
procedure for this.  If this car had this problem, maybe you're 
smelling the residual sanitizer from that.
