I have one of these band saws.  I've had it for years, and paid about $100 for 
it from HF.  The blade is rather wide so can not cut a tight radius pattern.  
Also on mine, the entire machine is not quite square, so a cut through a thick 
piece gives a noticeable taper top to bottom.  Since most of my cuts are
heavy stock to use in welded projects, I can correct this in the fit up.  When 
I need to be more square, I use a thick piece of stock I know to be true to 
guide the blade.
