Yeah, that's a bit of a concern right now.

True, but it does have to be the sum of the loads in the house, once you
apply the various NEC demand 'derating' factors, right?
By the time you get two ovens, a scattering of 220V outlets, a hot-tub
pump, and a few other things I'm forgetting right now, ours looks like ~350
amps. Not that we'd be running anything like that on average, but there's
the potential for some big peak loads.
