Note that the test only mentions the rated horsepower, the actual drawbar
horsepower demonstrated in their test G is more like 8.75.
Of course, tractive effort is not the same thing as drawbar horsepower, a
5hp tractor can out-pull a 15hp tractor ... if it weighs more and has the
right gears ... it just does it slower.
I certainly can't claim to know, but I thought the 1200 rpm PTO was
something of a standard in the 15hp and under class. I know my uncle bought
a row-crop Deere in the 60s that had one. Had different splines too, so you
couldn't accidentally mix them up. He had a belt pulley that would bolt
over the PTO shaft, which he used to turn an old belt-drive hammermill.
