I have the small holesaw kind and it works fine for me. Needs a good
centerpunch to guide it, and I set the spring tension to maximum for
all of my spotweld drillings. A professional bodyworker I did some
work with thought the stubby spur-point kind were better, but really
liked one with a pilot bit instead of the spur point. Don't know who
carries those.
