2-post limits access to the side of the vehicle. Sometimes, the doors won't
open
as far, or at all. I use my 4-post for bodywork, in addition to mechanical and
storage, so it was important to me.
I have seen 2-posts used for storage; doesn't seem to be a big problem.
But, the 2-post usually, maybe always, needs to be bolted down. My 4-post does
not need to be, plus I can move it around on its optional casters.
I've used mine for suspension work by inserting a support between the ramps and
utilizing bottle jacks, scissors jacks and jack stands to support the vehicle.
Not much of a problem.
Exhaust work and anything else that wants a lot of unfettered access to the
bottom is easy with the 4-post.
These are my thoughts and (some) experiences.
