I'm a little behind on the subject, but for those of you looking for an
inexpensive trimmer, I bought a reconditioned gas straight shaft Homelite from
my local Harbor Freight store for $49. This is the same model Home Depot sells
new for $90. It works well, though my only comparison is a small electric weed
eater.
