I have one that I got from a HQ going out of business sale for cheap.
It's a little heavy, but it's quiet! (I like that) The engine is very neat!
It's overhead valve with tiny little valves under a little valve cover.
It starts every time and runs on straight gas. It's one that takes
attachments.
I use it for a lawn blower and edger. I only use the edger once a month or so.
Since I use the trimmer every week, I have a dedicated one.
FWIW
Years ago I read an article about trimmers. It said that the ones with the
recoil
starter on the back were better because that have two crank mains. The ones
with the starter near the shaft only have one crank bearing.
