Does anyone have a link to a site that explains the best thickness of
concrete for certain applications? (I don't have alot of experience laying
concrete)
Example...
I have a raised porch that is 9'X22'. It's on a bed of well tamped QP. I
want to put a concrete slab over it for the top. This is where my hot tub
goes and I want it level and solid.
How thick should the slab be? I'm trying to figure out how much concrete I
need.
Then, (since I now have the funds for the "ultimate shop project", I'll be
pouring a foundation for the new shop soon. How thick should it be? (I'm
guessing that the local "standards" may not be enough.) I'm planing on
working on my tractors in there. Also, I'm putting in a car lift. The
floor will have radiate heat hoses in it was well. Is this a part of the
project to leave to a professional?
Thanks in advance.
