Mark, what was the cost per square foot? I'm looking to do my Guest House
but I don't want to spend a small fortune. (And I'm not going to put
linoleum over the entire surface)
The cheapest I've found so far is about $2./square ft. (not installed)

I don't know what you mean by 'synthetic hardwood' but we used some
engineered
hardwood flooring when we redid our kitchen. It is three plies: the top is
'pretty' wood (ours is machiche, a farmed central american hardwood), and
the
bottom two are just strong wood. Our came prefinished so we were able to
shave
almost a week off of the project by avoiding the sanding and finishing
steps
(sorry, pun intended).
We got it from ecotimber in Berkeley, CA. They have a very good website
with
lots of info and fairly accurate images. www.ecotimber.com
If you were asking about pergo or similar: I have no clue.
