Greetings Eric,
I have 2 of the Krause Multimatic Mod. 121499, aluminum, 16 foot ladders, as
you described. Really like that model, has a very safe folding lock
mechanism, it is 1a rated, good for my larger size or for folks that have to
carry more than themselves up the ladder. I spent about 2 weeks unfolding
and checking out the 3-4 different makes I could find in the large box and
smaller hardware stores. This one seemed the best for me, cost about $129
retail, was on sale at Home Depot for $89 or $99 at the time ( about 4
months ago). Got a second one of the same about a week later. There is a
fiberglass/aluminum from another maker that is very attractive and probably
worth the approx. $300 it sells for, but I don't use them quite that often.
They are very handy for all sorts of stuff, don't know how I got along
without one.
Regards,
Michael Lowe
No, I am not a shill, worker or stockholder in Kraus or Home Depot. With my
name I should shop in one of the others.
