Have you thought about a hardwood floor? Many old British car shops and even
factories had wooden floors. If you finish it with a spar varnish or a tough
urethane coating, it should be impervious to stains, and there is no grout.
Hardwood is soft compared to concrete or ceramic tile. If you dent it by
dropping stuff, you can sand it down with a floor sander and refinish. Cost
might be a factor, but it shouldn't be as much as ceramic tile.
