 Might be an interesting idea to wire a relay in the lighting circuit.
Have the alarm open the relay.  Fumbling in the dark or by flashlight
would at least slow them down a bit.

 Dead-bolting the doors with double-sided locks also limits them to
getting out the same way they got in, unless they want to jimmy another
door.

 Like with a car, it's hard to keep them out, but at least you can slow
them down.
