Hi,
I bent all new brake lines for my '49 International this past summer and
can possibly assist you with some tips. If you have the old lines for
patterns it will save you a lot of time and anger. As far as the stainless
steel/regular lines, I just bought a 25' roll of the steel line and cut,
flared, and bent it myself. The main factor was price, stainless is almost
twice as much. But if you live in the rust belt it might not be a bad idea.
As far as tips, one thing that I learned is, always make sure you have both
fittings on the line before you flare the ends!!! Just spend half an hour
fitting up and bending a line, flaring it, getting it in place, and then
realizing that you have to cut off the flares to put the fittings on. good
luck,
Aaron Bergman
