I have one of the Harbor Freight levelers and a simple modification made it
much easier to use.
I cut the handle off and welded on a 3/4" nut. I just use my 1/2" ractchet
to turn it. Much easier to use now. It handled my 351-W with attached
C-6 trans with no problem. I also grease the threaded rod down the cent of
the leveler
BTW, I have the fold-up engine hoist from Sam's Club and have been pleased
with it. I do wish that the legs/boom were a few inches longer though. My
69 Mustang has a very long front end and the hoist will barely reach far
enough to drop the engine/trans in place. I have to put a piece of foam on
the front bumper because the hoist is against it.
