Well, just for everyone's future reference, I installed the
EpoxiTech floor kit from Home Depot yesterday. (Actually, I
finally finished it yesterday). I think this is the kit
that was referred to below. For $59, you get the two part
epoxy, a degreaser solution, some paint chips to add for
traction, and a paint mixing stick.
It took several days of power washing, blowing out with
compressed air, filling in cracks, sanding down the crack
filler for a flat surface, blowing out the garage again,
mopping the floor with a solution of the supplied degreaser,
then painting.
One thing I found is that for a rough floor, their estimates
of how much coverage you get are about 50% too high. My 500
square feet took three kits, (which should have covered 750
sq. ft). But the results so far are terrific.
We'll see how it stands up to my abuse.....
