That's what I thought, but I was wrong. Want to trade some cheap 4'
fixtures for my 8' fixtures?
The major reason I went for the 8' was the nice snap-in bulb
replacement, as opposed to fiddling with the weird little wires on the
4' bulbs. In practice it didn't matter; the 8' bulbs only last a few
weeks, then the ballasts die. And replacement ballasts cost more than
the whole fixture did!
