I buy the cheapest 3/8 air ratchet I can find, usually when Harbor Freight has
a sale.  They last just as long and work just as well as the high-price spread
when you keep them oiled.  I'm using a Central Pnuematic that I got *four
years* ago right now and I use the darn thing every day.  BTW, this does not
hold true for 1/4 drive air ratchets.
