I need to replace some worn throttle spindle bushings on the carbs from
my MG (SU HS4s). Out of intrigue, or possibly madness, I am considering
doing the job myself.
Has anyone on the list done something like this? How do I go about it? I
want to know whether it is possible for me to get a reasonable result
using a bench press and a hand reamer, or whether I should just give up
now and send things off to a professional machine shop.
Tips on pressing/drilling/reaming the original bushings out would also
be appreciated. Thanks, Richard
