I think that Steve may be correct. I too have inherited hand tools that are
made by Plomb, in addition to tools made by Plumb.

I think the brand name is Plumb, and if this is correct they eventually got
to be part of PROTO which was part of Ingersol-Rand for a while, and I
think are now owned by Stanley tool works.
This makes a long answer out of the fact that they are good reliable, solid
old tools.
