Craftsman gets my vote for sockets. I've never broken one, and they offer some very nice portable sets with blow molded cases. I always know if I've misplaced a socket now. I received a set of 5 Snap-On screwdrivers for Christmas last year. I'm *very* impressed with their durability. The business end is sandblasted or roughed up in some manner. They hold screws great, and they show no signs of wear. I did get several blisters recently when putting together a wooden storage shed in my backyard. I got so disgusted that I bought a purpose made corded electric DeWalt screw gun. WOW! It drives 3" screws to the hilt into solid stud lumber without pilot holes. I think my arm would have broken if I didn't have this tool. Now my wife wants new kitchen cabinets. My wallet hurts already! Jim -- James A.
