since we have had recent activity on bed wood, i thought i would add this.
i am using plastic deck boards 'trex' brand from hd.
trex only comes in one size 6x5/4 (5.25x1 actual) solid
so i will have 9 boards instead of the usual 8 boards
also had to buy 8 metal strips, which i am painting body color
nice thing about the 5/4 thickness is i was able to fully recess the strip
so that the paint should not get scratched (ya right)

my side strips are plain 1.25x.125 angle iron that will also be recessed
now i need to fit the 2 side boards around the wheel tubs
i'll post more as i get progress
