Hello All!! I am working on the electrical system for my 57 3100, and
something has me stumped. I am trying to hook up a Safety Neutral Switch on
the Steering column (70 p10 Chevy van steering column with column shift) and
cannot see how this works. The shift tube appears to be smooth all the way
through, there is a slot for the column mount switch, and it has screws from
the oritinal owner....I purchased the suggested switch from my local parts
store, but there is nothing on the shift tube to move the lever on the switch.
There is another version of the switch which appears to not have a toggle for
this column, but I cannot see how it will work. The transmission is a
TH350......Can someone explain how the switches are activated and any
alternatives that I might consider?
Thanks a bunch!!
