Ric: The reason you cannot find reference to "HEI" in the oletrucks
archives is that the search engine used does not keep track of any words
that are three characters or less in length.

commented that they didn't like the larger distributor cap that HEI has

looked a bit funny on the 6 cylinders. Although some only had good

to day about it-included spark gap not having to be so precise, better
starts and smoother to say the least.
The consensus is there is two approaches, one being HEI and other
being
dual point conversion. Seems they were split half/half on what "they"
