You are missing the fact that the distributor (and the camshaft) turn at 1/2 the speed of the crankshaft. Therefore on a V8 the coil fires once every 90 degrees of crankshaft turn. This does equate to once per compression stroke per cylinder. oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
