I think the largest engine you can buy from Chevrolet is a 502, and I've
seen one of those in an AD truck, so that would answer your first question.
I just bought a 454 which I plan to put in my '55 1st series.
The bed on a '54 is the same bed Chevrolet used into the 70s or maybe even
80s. I assume by late model, you're thinking more recent than that. I
think the answer depends on how much work you are willing to do to make
something fit....

Subject: [oletrucks] Questions, Questions
Good Evening,
I have two questions:
What is the largest Chevy V-8 that will fit in my 1954 Chevy 3100 5 window?
Is there a late model step side Chevy bed that will fit my truck?
Thanks for any advise,
David
