When the subject of t-shirts emerged this year, many expressed feeling of
wanting something else as the logo and not to keep the present design. I
put it up to the list for suggestions and did receive a couple pieces of
artwork from fellow members. We've got plenty of time to think about till
next printing. so without getting this thread beat to hell and back--lets
see some proposals!!!! Sent them to me at wayne@chevytrucks.org and we'll
have a vote next year. Those complaining will soon find that it is very
very hard to please everyone. Someone even suggested putting a pic of the
Futureliner in the lineup---a little ridiculous in my personal
opinion. The subject of t-shirts came up, i volunteered to head it up and
took the ball and ran with it. This thread comes up every time the t-shirts
come up, but have yet to see more than 2 submissions for replacement logos.
Plenty of people want to complain but no one wants to follow up on it. So
lets get it on as they say....
When doing a logo and submitting, please keep in mind that it needs to
be of logo material, not just a bunch of photos put together and call it a
logo, also remember that just getting images from another web site may be
infringing on some type of copyright as well.. It needs to be centered on
what the list is about with the understanding that one and only one logo
should be used and you'll soon find out how hard it is to satisfy over 1000
members . So we've got a whole year, look forward to seeing other
suggestion. So please send them to me off list and i'll get 'em up for all
to see and we'll have a vote. I'll update folks occasionally and will make
a page devoted just to this. --wayne
