took another look myself, and that looks like a signal cup with wires on the
floor of the truck. so is that signal unit on the column, the original style
or aftermarket. did these trucks come originally with the externally mounted
signal units. my 55 gmc when i got it had the external type but when i went
to rebuild i found one in a salvage yard with the signal unit in the column
but it came out of a 9420 (canadian version) 55/6 i think, single headlight.
anyways we know for sure not the original steering wheel.

Hey guys,
I looked at this truck on "that" auction site....is that really a GMC cameo
or a "want-a-be"? I thought they were the "top of the line" trucks. This
one doesn't have any stainless trim and it has the bottom of the line
heater. Is this correct? It also looks like a '56 steering wheel.
I'm just looking to further my education on these "rare" trucks!
Thanks,
Mike Boteler
