For my peace of mind getting rid of the S10 was well worth it. Currently my
daily driver is a '66 FJ40 Land Cruiser with a small block chevy and NV4500
trans. Gas milage isn't much worse than the S-10 and I am SO much happier
driving it.

I bet you spend more time at the gas pump though!

I got rid of my '97 S-10 and replaced it with a '65 C-10 as my daily
driver.
The S-10 had weird electrical problems, the A/C was poor, overheated for
at
times no apparent reason, and was generally not cool. My '65 has (at
least
for now) no A/C, P/S, or P/B, but I sure get a lot of thumbs up from
others
and it starts and runs everyday. Just my .02.
