Hi David,
It is a rather long thread, but you will find it at the url I included in the
original message. As a follow-up, I called Heidt's and they said that there
would soon be a follow-up post on the web site by the individual that described
the failure. They said that there is more to this story... The technical
person at Heidt's said that there is no inherent flaw and that this failure was
due to extenuating circumstances. I'll keep you posted.

Hi Jim,
I haven't heard of any failures. I have a TCI kit on mine and the spindles
have HEIDTS stamped on them, so it may affect more than one kit brand. I'd
appreciate if you'd post to the list what you found since suspension failure
is a big safety item. Thanks

Heidt's MII crossmember. I hope this is not against the rules for this
list, but has anyone else heard stories about Heidt's crossmember failure or
one of the other MII product failure? I've installed Heidt's MII front end
on my '53 Chevy 1/2 ton and I'm a little concerned. Of course, it could
always be the installer vs. the product or a combination of these and other
factors. I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of similar events.
