do what i have done for over 10 trucks...
request a lost title/title verification packet or form. get a verification
of non-op status form. get a vin verification form(to be filled out by any
law enforcment or dmv. sometimes chp will come out to you if you call the
office) then follow the instructions. state 500 for value, and state that it
hasnt been on the road ever in your knowledge. pay title fee-12$ and taxes
and non-op it right then-do NOT let them talk you out of paying non-op right
then even if you arent going to drive it for 50 years....!!! then pay the
money-should be under 100$ total and you are on your way. then... to get
it legal and driving, you need to get an offical(CAT certified) wieght slip.
you can take it there on a trailer and then bring the trailer back empty...
most truck stops do this for 7-10$
