The mystery extra opening in your brake line might be from a trailer-brake
connection. Most of the older trailer brake controllers that were mounted in
the cab of pickups were run off of the brake fluid while using the truck
brakes. When you pressed on the brakes of your truck to stop, the pressurized
fluid would go into the controller, in turn making an electrical connection
that was sent from the controller, back to the electric trailer brakes. Hope
