[oletrucks] rubber that hangs on the sides of cab

How does the rubber go with the retainer that hangs on both sides of the cab 
to fill in the gap between the cab and runningboard?  Does the retainer go 
so that the short curve goes towards the outside, and the longer curve goes 
towards the inside?  I thought the rubber was held in by the screws also, 
but does that longer curve just hold it? thanks
