I ran into the same problem when wiring up my task-force (using an
aftermarket harness). I found a simple and cheap solution at wal-mart:
it's a little module designed for hooking up trailer tail-lights. It has 3
wires on the input side (left turn signal, right turn signal, brake
lights... and maybe a ground), and 4 wires out (left turn, right turn, left
brake, right brake). It takes care of all the problems you describe. Cost
about $12 if I remember right. I mounted it next to my fuse box under the
dash, and it's been working great since.

I can't believe I'm having to ask this, but I'm stumped. The brake lights

the '58 quit working, so I decided to re-wire everything back to the tail
lights. Now I have tail lights and turn signals, but when I wire in the

I have 3 wires going to the tail lights. One wire splits and goes to both
tail lights on the dim side of the bulb. I have one wire to the bright side
on the left for the left blinker, and one wire to the bright side on the
right
for the right blinker. How do I go from the brake light switch to the
bright
side of both tail lights now without interfering with the blinkers?
