Just back from long extended holiday, reading this thread re: oiling. Have
had several motors rebuilt and old guy who did them coated every surface
that would touch another surface, with STP prior to assembly. {Mabe
Lubriplate would do same thing?} Have never had a problem so far and 200K
on one 292. I don't guarantee results. But it worked here.
