Sorry...but i deleted your original email and do not know what the
original problem was... but I had a issue with a quadrajet on my old El
Camino that might be of some help to you. If you are from th Sacramento
area, there is old parts store in the Roseville area that sells complete
carb rebuilding kits for cheap (I hard a hard time finding one)
We had a issue of the car stalling, carb leaking gas and the rebuild did
not help....turns out one of the floats had a small hole in it and would
stay at the bottom of the bowl. I pd 10.00 to have it barzed, fixed the
problem.
