I've seen the shifter indicator from the column shifter &, although I don't
remember the pattern exactly, I do remember that it wasn't like most cars
today (park-reverse-neutral-drive-2-1). I think what you stated is correct;
someone else on the list will verify because I know we have more than a few
powerglide owners with stock setups. OR you can check some documentation
(or parts, like the indicator).
