The only time I ever saw a set of front suspension dampers for
sale thet were listed on a certain electronic auction site a
year or so ago. The minimum asked bid was $150 and there were
no takers. My understanding is that these parts were standard on
GMC Suburbans and optional on pickups. I've never seen one in
person, but pictures appear that they are sealed units. Master
Parts Book shows them as one piece, therefore I'd guess that they
are not rebuildable.

Subject: [oletrucks] 235/216, and some other questions
the other day i asked this, but still havent gotten any responses.
ok,
216s had two nuts on the top of the valve cover, and 235s have 4 bolts on
the outside edge of the cover. right?
now, which one is worth more/ or rarer? just currious.
also, about how much is each one worth, compleat minus carb. with 3 speed
tranny, started, dist. etc
would a '88 or '85 camaro clip work with a TF frame?
this is for the GMC buffs; about what is the going price for a set of front
suspension dampeners from a '57 GMC? you know, the cylinder things that bolt
onto the front end with the same bolts the backing plates bolt to on the
spindle.
bout how much would a good compleat set of 305 camaro heads minus the
rockers be worth?
