There are also from the days of long ago, a water bag called "Desert Cooler"
that you filled with water and you hung off your front bumper. it was made from
some kind of plant fiber and the entire thing would get wet and the evaporation
would cool the water for drinking or for use in the radiator if you boiled over
in the hot California deserts. When you stopped for drink or some gas or
whatever, the bees and wasps would be quick to find it, too.
