(In case this hits twice, I sent first from the wrong address so I don't
expect 2, but a warning in case you see this twice. and now back to
business)
okay, just noticed this. that number was listed for the HEAD not the
block.
my mistake. so aside from that, would that mean then, that the block is a
235, but not necessarily a '53? where would one locate the numbers for the
block. I thought I had them, but apparently not. where on the block can I
look? I have the "catalog of chevy truck id numbers 1946-1972, pickups,
suburban and el camino". page 49 of that book shows 1953 having an engine
code of LAG (I saw LAC on my block I think, could be that I missed the extra
part to make it a G) anyhow, could a 216 use a 235 head? or am I still in
search of more numbers? thanks again for the help.
