Hi guys! (and gals!) Here's a story for ya. My neighbor across the
street, is an 87 year old man. He had a stroke 20 years ago. It left
him unable to clearly communicate. Johnny can usually say what he
wants, but in broken sentences. A couple of days ago, while my husband
and I were looking at the engine, trying to figure out what we may need
to start it up, Johnny came over. He said, " You need...here, here, and
here," pointing at various missing parts including spark plug wires,
battery cables, and some other wire. He then noticed that I have one
head lamp bucket that was rusted out completely. "New one" he said,
then shuffled back home. Then yesterday he returned with a used set of
spark plug wires, a battery cable, an odd wire, (he showed us where to
put it) and a beautiful black head lamp bucket!!! Fits perfectly!! We
finally got him to tell us that he has an AD Chevy in a pole barn on the
old farm where he lived years ago. His son now lives there, but Johnny
goes over for coffee almost everyday. He had seen what parts we needed,
and took them off of his own truck for us and brought them home!! He
came over today, took his knuckles and pounded on all four fenders, and
said, " These...no good! New ones!" And off he went. Blow me over if
Johnny brings me new fenders tomorrow!! I'll tell you this, It's fellas
like this that inspire me! We can learn alot from guys like Johnny!
