I don't know how old some of you other guys are.  But as I approach 50,
Grant's advice of going to another town to try a different bureaucracy
brought to mind an important event in my past.  During the Vietnam war days
and protesters and draft resistance and conscientious objectors, we would
register in different towns to try to get a more sympathetic ear from a
different draft board.
