I have had an 8 volt battery in my '49 Chevy for about 6 mo. I just
replaced the 6V with the 8V and that was it....no changes to the
charging system. Faster starting and brighter lights. I just charge it
with a cheap 6/12V "trickle charger".

I've decided to give my 55 thunderbird a try on 8 volts. I have a couple of
questions for you guys who've done this.
Do I need to adjust the current limiter or just the voltage limiter in the
regulator? What should the voltage (and current?) read at the regulator to
charge at 8 volts?
How do you charge an 8 volt battery?
Regards,
Grant S.
