I bought a reproduction of the sales brochure for my
1955 First Series - just for a little fun reading.
Part of the brochure talked about the new 12 volt
system. But, the owners manual that came with the
truck talks about a 6 volt system. My truck is
12 volt now, but I'm pretty sure it was 6 volt
originally. I was wondering why there was a
discrepancy between the brochure and the owners
manual - I guess it may be a similar issue.
Apparently, there were some AD trucks (i.e. some of
the 1955 1st) with a 12 volt system.
