Oletruckers:
I may have a steering arm problem too but I was wanting a
diagnosis from the group. When I hit a bump while turning left, I
feel a clunk as if something in the front end is loose. Otherwise,
the truck steers great, doesn't wander, etc. I have new tie rod ends
and kingpins although there is a little more end play in the left
kingpin than the right, but it's still within spec. I can get both king
pins to rock a little bit if I shake the tire really hard. My shocks are
old and may be worn out. I've adusted the steering arms but the
plugs are screwed in so far now that they go way beyond the cotter
key. The book isn't real specific on how much to adjust the
steering arms and I can still get movement when I turn the wheel
as the springs compress. Any ideas??? Thanks,
Joe
