That's interesting, my '59 has the exact same jack as my '57, a screw type.
I know the '57 is original, my Dad bought it new, I guess it's possible that
the previous owner (also the original owner) of my '59 amy have exchanged it
at sometime.
Are you sure that the scissor type jacks you saw are original?
