Bruce,
Properly set up blue dots will give the light from your taillights a nice
purple glow. They especially look nice when you hit the brakes. If I could get
an accurate pic of mine at night I would, but it's difficult to do.
Because the light is no longer red, it's against the law. Your brake/tail
lights are supposed to be red. However, in all my years of running blue dots in
various street rods, including my daily driven '48, I've never had a hassle
from the police.
