I didn't know that Chevy ever put a 502 in anything....as far as I know, the big gas powered trucks got the 366 or 427 truck motors, which are tall deck blocks, 4 rings per piston, dual thermostats, steel cranks, 4 bolt mains, oval port small valve heads. The heads may work on yours, in fact they might be better than 454 heads, as they were designed for hard work. Jim oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
