Subject: | [oletrucks] Engine Blow-by |

The 235 engine in my truck runs as smooth as silk, but seems to have an excessive amount of blow-by coming out of the draft tube (or from the valve cover cap if it is removed). I did a dry compression test which revealed that cylinders #1 to #5 were right around 130 pounds, but #6 was 105. Are these two problems likely related? What are the possible causes? Thanks, Mike Auser 1948 Chevy 1/2 ton oletrucks is devoted to Chevy and GM trucks built between 1941 and 1959 |
